On Dodge Cummins Diesel 1994-1997 This replacement fusible link is the protection for the power supply to your fuel shutoff solenoid. It's a 65 amp inline fuse that is connected to the driver's side battery at the positive terminal bolt. Sometimes the lug on the end or the wire gets corroded and will cause symptoms that are the same as a bad fuel shutoff solenoid. This link has the connectors installed and comes with a piece of heat shrink tubing to complete the repair right. Remove the old blue wire and crimp this new one in it’s place. Be sure to use a corrosion inhibitor on your battery terminals to protect the new link. Some 98's have a fuse in the fuse box instead of this type of protection.
